Parish Council

The Parish Council is a body of parishioners which supports the Parish Priest in the governance and administration of the parish and the representation of the parishioners' interests and concerns. Through prayer, information, education and dialogue, the Council seeks to help discern what the Holy Spirit is calling our community to do in such areas as the education of our children and adults, worship, prayer and spirituality, social justice, evangelization and community building.

Mission Statement

In order to achieve our vision we will concentrate on four areas of Parish Life. We will listen prayerfully to the Word of God and let it take root in our hearts and minds so that we may grow in holiness.

• • • To celebrate the Sacred Liturgy with reverence and joy, fostering full and active participation, and continually deepening our understanding through ongoing formation and mutual encouragement.

    • To create a loving, supportive, and united community that fosters a deep sense of connection and understanding among its members, and actively works to share the love and message of Jesus to those who do not yet know Him.

    • To faithfully support and encourage our catechists by providing formation, resources, and opportunities for growth, so that they may joyfully and confidently pass on the faith of the Catholic Church to the young.

    • To recognise and nurture the gifts and talents of all members of our community, empowering each person to serve God faithfully and respond generously to the needs of others.

Vision Statement

To become a welcoming Catholic community where every person is known, valued, and loved; united in prayer and the sacraments, we invite all to encounter Jesus' healing love, his Eucharist and the joy of the Gospel.
